Credit Reports and Scores

Ever heard of credit reports and scores but not sure what they are? 🤨

A credit report is a record of a person’s credit history that includes the person's debts and payments, as well as personal information.

💡Credit scores = a rating of a person’s creditworthiness.

Credit scores range from 300 to 850 ⚖️

Similar to how every class contributes to your GPA, everything in your financial history helps calculate your credit score. 🧮

This includes things like loans, debt, and payment history 📊

Other factors, such as public records are also taken into account when determining your credit score 📰

Generally, people with higher credit scores are seen as less risky borrowers and can get lower interest rates on loans. 💰

A high credit score = 720 or above 🟢

A low credit score = anything below 580 🔴

The exact range of good or bad varies, but the bigger the number the better! 🥳

So now you know what credit reports and scores are all about! 🤩
