How digital book stores changed shopping forever 📚

Jeff Bezos was born in 1964 in Albuquerque, New Mexico 🌵

He was always interested in science and technology 🔬

In his high school science fair, he built a clock that could run for 10,000 years 🕰️

Even though invention was a passion and talent, he started a traditional job and became a successful investor on Wall Street 🤑

But, In 1994, Jeff Bezos quit his job as a vice president at a Wall Street firm since he noticed there was an issue with libraries and bookstores 🤔

Storing, shipping and selling books was a constant hassle 😴

So, he started an online bookseller called Amazon 📚

Bezos chose the name Amazon because it was the largest river in the world and he wanted his company to be just as big 🌎

For the first year, Amazon only sold books, but it quickly expanded to other products like electronics and clothing in 1995 🛍️

In 2002, Bezos realized shipping was a big issue 📦

So, Amazon introduced its Amazon Prime service, which offered free two-day shipping for a yearly fee 🤑

Now that Amazon had a subscription service to rely on, they continued to grow 🥳
